Consumable plants - spices, herbs, produce etc. - can have natural variances in flavor, aroma, texture, grinding result, color, taste, moisture level, heat, etc from batch to batch, crop to crop. We do a variety of tests on each batch to make sure they meet our high quality standards and fall within normal variances.
For Spicely Organics Smoked Paprika, since the smoking process is all natural (actually smoked over wood) and nothing is added to the product itself (i.e. liquid smoke,etc), levels of smokiness may differ from other brands of smoked paprika and even between our batches.

Please also note that for some spices we carry a couple variations and tastes will differ depending on the variety chosen- ex. Bay Leaves, Cinnamon, etc.
